As true partners with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer, Williams-Sonoma, Inc. has raised more than $18.5 million since 2005.
Each year, Williams-Sonoma, Inc. rallies its family of customers, vendors, and employees—from the executive offices to associates in more than 600 stores—to raise funds through the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign.
Building on past product success, Williams-Sonoma, Inc. offered customers a fabulous list of “gifts that gave back” in 2011 including Mercury candlepots, modern owls, stylish teen pillow covers and Oatmeal the Bear. Together, more than $576,000 was raised for St. Jude in the sales of these products, which were also featured in national publications like Real Simple and Ladies’ Home Journal.
Additionally, St. Jude-themed gift cards featuring adorable patient artwork were offered in-store and as e-cards, raising more than $225,000 and catching the eye of editors from People magazine.
In addition all brands again extended prime real estate to St. Jude on each of the brand’s websites, setting a new standard for all St. Jude partnerships
To celebrate these successes, Williams-Sonoma, Inc. plans an annual trip to the hospital led by Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Pat Connolly. In 2011, more than 50 executives, regional leaders and top district and store managers visited the hospital.
