Blending the novel research of St. Jude scientists and the adept work of Memphis artists, the second annual Art of Science exhibit met at the intersection of left-brain logic and right-brain creativity. After a successful collaboration in 2011, 33 scientists again paired with local artists to help educate the community about the research being conducted at St. Jude.
Through painting, new media, glass/metal, sculpture and interactive installations, the exhibit bridges the science and art communities. This year’s exhibit opened September 28 at the Memphis College of Art Nesin Graduate Center, Hyde Gallery, located in downtown Memphis. During the opening reception, visitors met and spoke with the artists and scientists whose works were featured.
