Up 'til Dawn - FAQ

What is Up ’til Dawn?

Up ’til Dawn is team fundraising event where students ask friends and family to support them as they compete in an all-night challenge for the patients of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

How does it work?

Interested groups of students (10 or more) form an Executive Board. This group spreads the word about St. Jude and recruits teams of five or more to participate in Up ’til Dawn. Teams fundraise through various events and then come together to celebrate their fundraising accomplishments at the main Up ’til Dawn event, where teams compete in an all-night challenge.

How is money raised for the hospital?

The main fundraising tool is letters. The letters — which are already printed and need only your signature — are a fun and personal way to contact your family and friends. The letters ask family and friends to join you in your effort to help the kids of St. Jude by donating on your behalf. You’ll also get your own personal fundraising website where you can share your story through email and social media. Your team can also choose to do other fun side events.

What is provided?

St. Jude provides all the materials you need to promote and execute your event successfully. This includes a personal St. Jude representative who will walk you through the process and answer your questions along the way.

What do I get?

That warm and fuzzy feeling inside from knowing that you are helping kids with pediatric cancer and other deadly diseases. You will also be eligible for a cool prize that your Executive Board will provide.

How do I sign up?

Send us an email with your name, school and how you can be reached. Your personal St. Jude representative will contact you.
