About the Presenter
Ron Culberson, MSW, CSP
With a master’s degree in social work, Ron spent the first part of his career working in a large hospice organization as a clinical social worker, manager and senior leader. As a speaker, humorist and author of Do it Well. Make it Fun, he has delivered more than 1,000 presentations to associations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations and corporations. His mission is to help organizations be more successful by combining excellence and fun. He is the 2012–2013 president of the National Speakers Association and is a recognized expert on the benefits of humor and laughter.
Objectives
After this seminar, you will be able to:
- Describe the difference between excellence and seriousness
- Demonstrate new ways to see and manage your own stress
- Apply the principles of excellence and humor in communicating
- Analyze your work processes for ways to improve them by making them more fun
- Describe ways to approach your own life and death with excellence and humor

Health care professionals who want to do their job well while making it fun in the process.
Credit
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This seminar has been designated for 3.0 contact hours in nursing continuing education upon completion of this activity.

Lunch
Lunch is on your own. Vending areas and a cafeteria are available on the first floor of the hospital. Restaurants are available in the area.
Refreshments are included in registration.
Parking
Free parking is available. Notify the security guard at the St. Jude parking lot at Third and Overton Streets that you are attending a conference in the hospital. The guard will issue a pass to you and give you parking directions. Because parking is limited, please car pool if possible.
