For more than 17 years, radio stations across the country have been supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In January, more than 800 radio station representatives and a number of country music artists came to St. Jude for the 2006 Radio Training Seminar. The seminar kicks off the busiest season of radiothons, as stations across the country prepare to hold their two-day events to encourage listeners to help in St. Jude's mission of finding cures and saving children. The radio industry has raised more than $250 million in pledges since Randy Owen, lead singer for the GRAMMY®-award winning group ALABAMA, first challenged the industry to support the hospital.
