Kings of Leon, Stone Temple Pilots join Music Gives

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is proud to announce that two renowned rock groups have signed up to become ambassadors for Music Gives to St. Jude Kids.

Veteran alternative rockers Stone Temple Pilots and southern rock Tennessee-natives Kings of Leon have both joined the music-centered initiative.

Stone Temple Pilots have sold more than 35 million copies worldwide of their five albums, dominating modern rock radio since their debut in the early 90s. They have accumulated 15 singles on the Billboard Top Ten while winning a Grammy in 1994 for “Plush.”

Kings of Leon debuted in 2003 and have released five albums so far. The four-piece band is huge in Britain and Australia with nine Top 40 singles and two Brit Awards. In the U.S., their fourth album Only by the Night contained three number-one singles and was their first-ever platinum seller. They received a Grammy nomination in 2011 for their song “Radioactive.”
