This December, PayPal is asking customers to help turn that least desirable holiday gift—the fruitcake—into the most beneficial one during its Regift the Fruitcake campaign.

By visiting the Regift the Fruitcake Web site and selecting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, you can support the lifesaving work of St. Jude by creating your own fruitcake.

Once you have created your own special holiday treat, you can donate to your fruitcake, then “regift” it to your friends using Facebook and Twitter, asking them to donate as well. Each week, prizes will be awarded to the highest-rated fruitcakes.

If you don't wish to create you own fruitcake, you can donate to a friend's or to the fruitcake created by St. Jude supporter and actress Lisa Rinna or find a friend's fruitcake.

The charity that raises the most money during the campaign will receive an extra $20,000 donation from PayPal.

Start participating today and help the patients of St. Jude in their fight against childhood cancer.
