    Jimmy Kimmel hosts SCRABBLE tournament for St. Jude

    On June 12, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and numerous other celebrities tested their vocabulary in a special SCRABBLE® tournament in celebration of the game’s 60-year anniversary, all for the benefit of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

    During SCRABBLE Under the Stars, held in honor of the game’s diamond anniversary, Kimmel was joined by 23 other stars including Seth Green, Skeet Ulrich, Rashida Jones Natalie Maines, Milo Ventimiglia, Paul Rudd and more to make up 12 doubles teams. Kimmel and his producer, Daniel Kellison, beat Ulrich and Green in the final round, resulting in  Kimmel and Kellison being named the event's Celebrity Doubles Champion.

    The final two teams played the championship game on a one-of-kind Scrabble diamond anniversary, Swarovski-encrusted board, valued at $20,000.

    Following the game, from June 12 – 30, SCRABBLE fans are encouraged to visit www.clothesoffourback.org for the chance to bid to own the Swarovski-encrusted Scrabble board as well as other boards from the competition, signed by the celebrities.

    SCRABBLE Under the Stars was held at the Goldstein Estate and is presented by Hasbro as well as in-kind sponsors Grey Goose, W Hollywood Residences, The Little Penguin, Heineken and Chef Andrew Humbert. The event was produced by The Gelfand Group.
