We conceived of Design Cares in 2005 and in February of 2007 we launched the inaugural event. We are very lucky to have enjoyed careers in the fashion and style industries and all of the luxuries that these careers have supplied. Design Cares is an opportunity for us to give back.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was founded in 1962 by the late entertainer Danny Thomas. Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay. Eighty-five cents of every dollar received supports the research and treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
We greatly appreciate our sponsors, partners, committee members, and guests who come together for an evening to raise awareness to our cause, and raise substantial funds for the hospital.
We challenge all of you in the industry to give back. Attend the Design Cares event in April; enjoy an evening of mingling, blinging, noshing and most importantly giving.
