
Patient Care Services Evidence Based Practice Fellowship
The Patient Care Services Evidence Based Practice Fellowship is a program designed to develop the knowledge and understanding of and experience with clinical research for the staff members of the Division of Patient Care Services. The 12-month program consists of monthly 2-hour meetings and computer research modules available on Cure4Kids. Scholarly products such as scientific posters, papers, and presentations are an outcome of the program.
Current Fellowship Projects:
- Determining the efficacy/yield/complication rate of Bronchoalveolar lavage in patients with leukemia
- Determining the efficacy of the antiemetic aprepitant (Emend) in brain tumor patients undergoing bone marrow transplant
- Developing a tool to measure symptoms
