The St. Jude School Program presented by Target hosted the annual kindergarten and high school graduations in late May. Families and employees cheered and celebrated the 13 students who were honored at the high school graduation ceremony May 20 in the Danny Thomas/ALSAC Pavilion. The graduates completed high school this year while undergoing treatment. University of Memphis basketball standouts Tarik Black and Chris Crawford addressed the students during the event.
The fourth annual kindergarten graduation took place May 26 in the St. Jude Auditorium as patients who had completed kindergarten during the school year donned caps and gowns. Twenty-nine patients were recognized during the ceremony, which featured a processional of the graduates, the presentation of certificates and a Class of 2011 slideshow.
