What We Do

Rehabilitation Services provides comprehensive care and rehabilitation for infants, children and young adults. The first step in treating patients is to provide an accurate evaluation and diagnosis using both quantitative and qualitative measures. Since each condition is unique, it takes the expertise of the interdisciplinary team to develop a systematic, comprehensive treatment plan for each child.

The plan is designed to help families understand, adapt and improve functional abilities through therapeutic intervention and education. Impairment addressed may be developmental, physical or cognitive. The staff of Rehabilitation Services look at the whole person and find those problem areas that keeping the child from living up to his/her full potential.

Play is the media most often used in the assessment and treatment of children. It is a highly motivating and natural media used by all children. Education and involvement of the family is a primary consideration and is critical to success.
