The Volunteer Services department offers two paid internships each semester. Interns gain a well-rounded experience in many areas, including: coordinating and implementing programs and events, writing for newsletters and other print pieces, motivating and supervising volunteers, customer service, general office management, and exposure in a hospital setting.
This internship is well suited for individuals seeking careers in fields such as marketing, public relations, non-profit management, business, public administration, and hospital administration. All internships are located in Memphis, TN.
We are currently seeking internship applicants for the Fall 2013 semester. A cover letter and resume should be submitted no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, May 24. The ideal Fall intern candidate would be available early to mid-August through early December. Additionally, the candidate should be available full time, 40 hours a week and able to work Monday through Friday and some evenings and weekends, as necessary.

Must be currently enrolled in a degree seeking program. Preferred area of course concentration in non-profit management, business, communications, public administration or public relations. Must be Junior or Senior to be considered; Masters level preferred. Must have a GPA of 3.0 in each of the last four semesters. GPA will be validated by transcripts and communication with advisor.
