Delarian is named after his dad, but instead of calling him “Junior,” his family calls him “Deuce.”
He’s funny and outgoing. “He’s always the life of the party,” said his mom, Crystal.

St. Jude patient Deuce with his mom, Crystal
In July 2018, Deuce’s parents learned he had a type of blood cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
His treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will include approximately two-and-a-half years of chemotherapy.

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Deuce likes to fish, play video games and eat hamburgers and french fries. He’s responding well to treatment and his cancer is in remission.

St. Jude is like heaven on earth. You walk through the doors and everyone is the same. Everyone has a smile. It’s like one big family.
