Meet Matthew
When Matthew was just 2 years old, he started to run a fever after an afternoon of playing outside with his brothers. Tests soon revealed he suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Matthew’s treatment included three years of chemotherapy. “He’s a superhero to me,” said Matthew’s mom. “He loves living life and makes us live to fullest.” Matthew finished treatment this past spring, and now visits St. Jude for regular checkups. He’s an active little boy who loves hockey, baseball and basketball.
