Meet Tyler

age 12, bone cancer

.

"St. Jude has been very good to us."

Tyler's mom

In August 2015, Tyler’s leg started hurting at summer camp. When it started to swell, an X-ray at a local children’s hospital revealed a mass. Within days, Tyler was undergoing treatment for osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Tyler is an outgoing kid who loves school, drawing and playing the drums.

Tyler’s treatment plan included chemotherapy and surgery to remove the tumor — and families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Tyler has been cancer-free for six months.
