In January 2010, Ethan’s family was devastated to learn he suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most common form of childhood cancer. His parents, Kevin and Missy, turned to St. Jude for his treatment and care. In August 2012, Ethan finished treatment for ALL and now visits St. Jude for yearly checkups. Ethan likes history, science and literature, and recently wrote a research paper about St. Jude and why it’s the best children’s cancer research hospital. He and his twin brother, Cooper, love Lego® building, robotics, video games and all of the Marvel superheroes.
Kevin is a member of Thrivent Financial, a partner of St. Jude since 2011. Thrivent is a membership organization of Christians that helps its members to connect faith and finances for good. He and Missy appreciate all that the organization does for the hospital. “Thrivent has such a well-defined program to give back to the community, including St. Jude,” said Kevin.

Ethan, age 13, acute lymphoblastic leukemia
St. Jude has blown away our expectations in every conceivable way. Until you actually walk up and down the hallways and see what goes on here, I can’t describe it to anyone; they wouldn’t believe it.

Help our families focus on their sick child, not medical bills.
When you donate monthly, your gift means families, like Ethan's, never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
