Allyson Lopez was born in New York City. She is of Puerto Rican heritage and grew up in a bilingual English-Spanish home. Allyson graduated from the University of Memphis with Bachelors in Health Service Administration. She worked at Christ Community Health Services, in Memphis, before coming to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Allyson’s admiration for the work done at St. Jude, along with her passion and desire to contribute and make a difference has led her to join the team of Infectious Disease – International Outreach.
In her job position at St Jude, she manages the finances of the team and provides coordination for international courses, meetings, and visits of international healthcare providers to St. Jude. An important aspect of her work is to provide technical support for web conference, and to assist in the various aspects of clinical research of the team. Outside St. Jude, she enjoys time with her family and friends and participates in different community events such as the Race for a Cure, March of Dimes, and Sisters-in-Motion 5K among others. She also enjoys doing Zumba and going on long walks with her dog.
