Duha Magzoub is a program coordinator for the HPV Cancer Prevention Program at St. Jude.
Duha is responsible for partnering with local, regional, state, and national organizations to generate sustainable relationships to work towards one common goal of increasing HPV vaccination coverage and decreasing HPV cancers. In her work, she will team up with organizational and clinical partners, such as working with healthcare providers to ensure no missed opportunities and providing educational materials to community members to build HPV vaccination confidence in the public.
“As a program coordinator I hope to educate parents and caregivers that HPV vaccination is cancer prevention, and that the HPV vaccination protects against more than 90% of HPV cancers. In my work, I expect to provide parents and caregivers with the resources and tools, as well as work with healthcare providers to increase the recommendation so that more children will receive HPV vaccinations. With partnerships on a local, state, and national level we can achieve the Healthy People 2030 goal of getting 80% of children vaccinated against HPV.”
Prior to joining the St. Jude staff in August 2022, Magzoub was a graduate student assistant with the St. Jude HPV Cancer Prevention team for one year. Duha’s public health career has consisted of a focus on community health outreach at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ and HIV Surveillance in Memphis, TN.
Duha holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Memphis.
