Judith Maina joined St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital January 2012 as a Grant and Contract Administrator with the responsibility to independently support Principle Investigators through the entire grant and contract proposal submission process and facilitate the administration of a varied portfolio of sponsored awards. Prior to joining St. Jude, Judith was the Associate / Housing Director at Lemoyne-Owen College Community Development Corporation (LOCCDC) where she was responsible for grant writing, managing residential development and construction of new affordable housing projects for home ownership; overseeing repairs of deteriorating owner occupied homes; developing training sessions for low income clients in entrepreneurship and developing paid internship programs for college students. Judith has more than 12 years of research administration and community development experience in managing grant funds from federal, non-federal, foundations and industry sources. Judith holds a bachelor’s degree from Lemoyne-Owen College and Master of Science in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University. She lives in Memphis. In her free time, Judith likes to take evening walks by the Mississippi river.
