Research Interests

The goal of our research is to understand how the immune system is regulated so that we can optimize the response to infections and tumors, while preventing harmful autoimmune reactions against normal, healthy tissues.

  • Regulation of the immune response in autoimmune diseases including type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis.
  • Optimizing the immune response against conserved portions of influenza.
  • Immune modulation of cartilage homeostasis and osteochondromas.
