Daniel Moreira Ridsdale, MD
- Global Health Fellow
Daniel was born in Monterrey, Mexico where he went to medical school. He did his pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Being exposed to medical education in the two countries and having lived the difference that quality education can have on trainees convinced him that offering world-class training to the next generation of providers will contribute to an improvement in patient care globally. For this reason, he enrolled at Johns Hopkins University to obtain a Master’s in Medical Education. He believes that in serving to educate others, he will broaden the impact of change in a more effective and more efficient way.
Daniel will be with us for one year to finish his Pediatric Hematology/Oncology training by completing a fourth year in our global health track fellowship. During this time, he will help us to evaluate our current fellowship training programs, and will work on developing a gap analysis of global fellowship educational needs that could inform the development of the St. Jude Global Fellowship programs across regions using ACGME-International standards as starting point.
