Elizabeth (Liz) is a Canadian native, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia, in 2009. She began her nursing career in pediatric oncology at Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Liz received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, in 2015, in the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Oncology Concentration program. Since 2016, she has worked as a nurse practitioner on the Solid Tumor team at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Liz is a member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses and the International Society of Pediatric Oncology, where she is actively involved in the Pediatric Oncology in Developing Countries, Nursing Working Group. She has volunteered overseas with several health-related humanitarian efforts, and recently developed a pediatric oncology nursing curriculum in Cambodia, through Health Volunteers Overseas. Liz is fluent in English and proficient in Hebrew. In her role as Global Nursing Education Coordinator, Liz will be responsible for helping to design, implement and evaluate global nursing education programs, networks, and initiatives.
