Research Interests

I am a molecular biologist with research interest in understanding the mechanisms of gene alterations in cancer and exploring therapeutic targets. My current research is focused on elucidating how pathogenic germline ETV6 variants impair blood cell development and drive leukemogenesis. I use mouse genetic models and human induced pluripotent stem cell differentiation approaches to carry out these studies. I am also investigating the cooperative effects of ETV6 variants with other oncogenic drivers in promoting leukemia formation. I employ molecular, cellular and next generation sequencing technologies to address this question.
