Program Overview

The 12th Annual Pediatric Surgical Oncology Review Course focuses on presenting the current surgical management of children with malignant solid tumors. Experts will present summaries of the critical issues on the surgical management of major pediatric solid tumors (neuroblastoma, Wilms tumor, sarcomas, liver tumors, and germ cell tumors), as well as reviews of rare pediatric solid tumors. In addition, presentations on mediastinal mass, vascular tumors, and management of pulmonary metastatic disease will be made. Significant time will be allotted to illustrative case presentations and group discussion.

The Institute of Medicine Core Competency that applies to this educational activity will be Evidence-Based Practice (integrate best research with clinical expertise and patient values for optimum care, and participate in learning and research activities to the extent feasible).
