It all started with a group of anglers with a passion for fishing and the kids of St. Jude.
In 1999, a group of anglers from Minnesota and Wisconsin founded the Dick Hiley St. Jude Bass Classic. The first tournament, hosted at Treasure Island Resort and Casino, raised $11,000. This event has grown to be one of Minnesota’s biggest charity fishing tournaments and is one of only two bass tournaments in the country that supports St. Jude.
Over the last 22 years, nearly 400 anglers have participated and have raised $4.5 million in support of the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children.®
A lot has changed since that first tournament in 1999, but what makes this tournament special is the anglers that participate each year and the unwavering dedication and commitment they have for the kids of St. Jude.
