Anna’s Linens shares a genuine affinity for the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and first participated in St. Jude Thanks and Giving® on a regional level in 2008.
In 2009, Anna’s Linens expanded its relationship, signing on as a national St. Jude Thanks and Giving Corporate partner and offering its customers a donation add-on opportunity at the register. In return for a donation, Anna’s Linens gave customers a bounce-back coupon good toward a future purchase. The program was a hit, with the company running out of coupons two weeks prior to the campaign’s conclusion. Anna’s Linens surpassed its goal and raised more than $347,000—an impressive 233 percent growth over 2008.
In 2011, the company hosted Scare Away Cancer around Halloween during which employees made donations to St. Jude in return for the opportunity to dress casually at work, coupled with a bake sale to benefit St. Jude. This was a great way to get employees engaged and to launch the St. Jude Thanks and Giving season. Anna’s Linen’s enthusiastic support for St. Jude runs deep, from its associates to its executive leadership. The company raised more than $718,000 for St. Jude.
In 2012, Anna’s Linens built on previous campaigns by adding a barcode scanner with a specific ask that helped to increase its donations. It also expanded the campaign to its five stores in Puerto Rico, all ranked in the top 10 of its fundraising stores. During Halloween, Anna’s Linens corporate office again participated in an employee giving opportunity though a casual dress project.
Since the start of the partnership, Anna’s Linens has raised more than $2.4 million for St. Jude. St. Jude is grateful for Anna Linens’ ongoing dedication and support for the medical research and breakthroughs helping children all over the world.
