St. Jude patient Saniya, age 2, retinoblastoma, with her family

Thanks to donors like you, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food  — because all a family like Saniya's should worry about is helping their child live.

How your donations can help

  1. Your gift can help provide a St. Jude family with meals for one day in the Kay Kafe, the St. Jude cafeteria.

  2. Your gift can help provide necessities for parents who may have hurriedly left home after their child’s diagnosis.

  3. Your gift can help provide a platelet count test for two patients. Platelet counts are among the tests doctors use to monitor patient health during treatment.

  4. Your gift can help provide one red blood cell transfusion. Children undergoing treatment for cancer and other deadly diseases often need transfusions.

  5. Your gift can help provide one hour of physical therapy. Physical therapy is provided to patients because children with deadly diseases like cancer may develop developmental, cognitive or physical impairments as a result of their illnesses and their treatments.

  6. Your gift can help provide the cost of two days of oxygen for a St. Jude patient. The body needs oxygen to function properly.

  7. Your gift can help cover the cost of one day of chemotherapy. St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80 percent today.

When you make a donation using this information, your donation will be used to provide breakthrough research, treatment and cures. The cost of each item or service is an approximation, and will vary based on actual costs incurred and individual patient needs. Your donation will be used for the general operating needs of St. Jude, where no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.

All donations are 100% tax deductible.
