Need help deciding?
Charitable gifts can come in many different forms, but which one's right for you? You can help St. Jude achieve our mission of saving children’s lives while addressing a variety of personal financial goals.
Include St. Jude in your will or trust, and you can specify how your donation will be used. Learn more about wills and bequests.
You can support St. Jude now, while helping your own financial goals and reducing your tax burden. Learn more about gift annuities.
Buy low and give high. Make a gift that costs you less than the benefit it delivers to us, while also avoiding capital gains tax. Please fill out this transfer form at the time you make the transfer so we can properly acknowledge your gift for tax purposes.
Charitable lead trusts
Establish a charitable lead trust to benefit St. Jude and a predetermined amount of the trust’s assets will be given to St. Jude annually for a set period of time. Afterward, the remainder of the funds can be transferred to the trust’s non-charitable beneficiaries — usually family members. Setting up a charitable lead trust may reduce or even eliminate gift and estate taxes on trust assets passing to family.
Please request more information about your gift options or call (800) 395 -1087 and let us assist you with every step.
Charitable remainder trusts
Charitable remainder trusts allow you to irrevocably transfer assets, and you and/or your beneficiaries receive payments from the trust for life, or another time period of your choice. The remainder of the trust then goes to St. Jude. Use our gift calculator to learn more about how it works.
Donor advised funds
If you are interested in learning more about how your foundation can make a positive impact on the lives of children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, please contact Ingrid McGraw, Director of Foundation Relations, at (901) 578-2415 or email@example.com.
If you have a life insurance policy that you no longer need because of a change in your life circumstances, you can give a paid-up policy to St. Jude, or even a policy on which you are still paying premiums. By irrevocably designating St. Jude as owner and beneficiary of the policy, you may be entitled to a generous charitable income tax deduction. You can call or write to your insurance company to request a form to make this change of beneficiary.
Please make sure you list the new owner and beneficiary as: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tax ID #62-0646012, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
