What was your "St. Jude Moment"?
It happened before I was an employee. I'm a former patient, so my St. Jude moment would definitely have to be the day that I went in remission.

What's something unique about your area?
Our department has a fun committee to help us decompress, hang out and bond with our coworkers.

What do you do for fun in Memphis?
I love going to cheer on my Grizzlies!

What’s different about working at ALSAC than your last job?
St. Jude is very gratifying. I have an end goal that I'm working toward that affects the whole world.

    What's your favorite ALSAC perk?
The time off given to all ALSAC employees. This provides me the opportunity to spend extra time with my family, creating the PERFECT work-life balance!

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Knowing there's a child depending on me to see tomorrow. It gives me strength to get out of bed and report to work each and every day.

What do you do for fun in Memphis?
I love dining at the various restaurants at Overton Square in Midtown. The atmosphere on The Square is so relaxing AND diverse!

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Literally, my cats. But what keeps me from going to back to bed is knowing that I get to help sick kids with the power of video games.

What was your “St. Jude Moment”?
My first boss took me to lunch at Kay Kafe. Everyone you see is either in need of help or dedicated to helping those in need. It's what I imagine Starfleet from Star Trek to be like — an organization wholly dedicated to the betterment of mankind.

What are six words that describe ALSAC?
We are where cures come from.
