Your Support Since 2017
Reported as of February 2020
In your third year supporting the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign, your efforts to more deeply involve your store associates in the mission of St. Jude made a huge impact.
For the first time, you invited St. Jude representatives, including former patient Amy, to speak on a kickoff call to managers across the country. Deeply moved by Amy’s story, you raised $300,000 in the first month of the campaign, more than one third of the fundraising total for 2018!
The generosity didn’t stop there. In early December, stores across the country held Make to Give events creating confetti poppers for St. Jude patients to use in celebrations at the hospital, delivering the joy of the holiday season straight from JOANN customers.
Again, you allowed customers to add a donation at checkout of $1, $5 or $10 using the highly successful coupon-based model created in 2018. Coin boxes at registers were again directed to St. Jude, and awareness for our mission was amplified not only through in-store signage, but also digitally on your website and on social media.
New this year, JOANN created St. Jude patient art-inspired fabric that was sold online with $1.50 of every yard sold benefiting St. Jude. These beautiful fabrics, with patterns created out of St. Jude patient art, went on to be used in pillows created for the St. Jude Thanks and Giving Pop Up Experience in New York and beyond.
Thank You for All You Do for the Kids of St. Jude
Because of you, St. Jude is able to save kids regardless of their financial situation. The values you continuously instill throughout your corporation are the values that create an immense and invaluable partnership between JOANN and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Because you are committed to going above and beyond, we are able to continue our lifesaving mission. Thank you, JOANN, for your gifts of giving, and for being a beacon of hope for St. Jude children and their families.
