A Unique Voice
For the first time, New York & Company and St. Jude worked together to align our voices to make a bigger impact for both brands. Piloted in the Mother’s Day campaign, our teams created new taglines and images that not only represented the mission of St. Jude, but did so from the distinct brand voice of New York & Company. We built on the marketing success of the campaign to re-design the look and feel of the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign as well, bringing the authenticity of each of our brands into the spotlight.
New York & Company Shows Up in a Big Way
At St. Jude, we are honored to spend time with our partners, getting to know you individually and sharing our mission on a personal level. In 2019, visitors from New York & Company took time from their busy schedules to come to Memphis on three separate occasions and engage with patients and their families.
At the St. Jude Corporate Partners Summit, you went above and beyond by leading a breakout session about year-round giving and specialized campaigns like your Mother’s Day campaign and the St. Jude Saturday activation. By sharing your best practices, you impacted other partners’ campaigns and increased their ability to do more for St. Jude.
Your District, Regional and Store Managers from Regions 20/25 and 40/45 hosted a regional training at St. Jude, bringing the work they do in stores and the mission of St. Jude closer together. Managers took a tour of the hospital, many experiencing St. Jude for the first time.
And in September, the top fundraisers from the 2018 St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign visited the hospital for their Incentive Trip. While here, the generosity that was present in New York & Company stores came out in full force. The team served dinner to the families of Target House, giving them a taste of New York along with some fun big city crafts.
It is your compassion, generosity and willingness to show up and serve that cements our partnership and will continue to help ensure no family receives a bill from St. Jude for anything.
Commitment to Meaningful Impact
The depth of the impact that New York & Company made in 2019 for St. Jude was evident year-round. It began with the new look and feel of the Mother’s Day campaign, amplified by products supporting St. Jude not just from the New York & Company brand, but also from Celebrity Designer, Eva Mendez. Her support of St. Jude at this critical time brought even more awareness to the already highly successful campaign.
Again, your team sponsored our national St. Jude Walk/Run, raising over $84,000 in the month of September to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
You supported the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign in stores and online by asking for donations, selling product, executing another highly successful St. Jude Saturday and creating engagement at all levels of your organization for the holidays.
Your corporate headquarters teams also got involved, executing annual fundraisers like the Turkey Trot and Mixology. Even Greg Scott joined Marlo Thomas, National Outreach Director for St. Jude, on the OATH Build Panel for the second year in a row and talked about the impact of companies that give during the holidays.
There are few partners as committed and dedicated to our mission as New York and Company, and we are grateful that our mission is part of your DNA. Because of you, St. Jude is able to save kids regardless of their financial situation. The values you continuously instill throughout your organization are the values that create an immense and invaluable partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Because you are committed to St. Jude kids, we are able to continue our lifesaving mission.
Thank you, New York & Company, for your gifts of giving, and for being a beacon of hope for St. Jude children and their families.
