The Melting Pot: Committed to St. Jude Thanks and Giving®
Once again, you stepped up as a valuable partner in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign. This was your 16th year as a campaign partner, and your participationsupport was amazing.
The Donation Menu is a tool used across all restaurants. Your guests also got into the spirit of helping St. Jude kids through the Donate and Dine card. For every $10 they donated, they received a card valid for $20 off a future purchase of $50 or more at The Melting Pot. Every dollar of the $10 donation went directly to St. Jude. You continue to offer your guests the opportunity to support St. Jude with their donation of $10 in exchange for The Melting Pot's Donate & Dine card. Your generosity allows the cardholder a $20 discount on a future purchase of $50 or more, valid for the next six months. In addition to the Donate & Dine card, you also offer a custom wine dinner menu during the Thanks and Giving® campaign which helps raise new fundraising achievements. Wow!
To test new fundraising, you also offered a new check presenter featuring a QR code that directed your guests to a video of The Melting Pot engaging with St. Jude kids, and a St. Jude lapel pin in five test markets: Fort Myers, FL, Fort Collins, CO, Orlando, FL, Towson, MD. Thank you for being creative!
Going Above and Beyond All Year Long
You've cultivated a spirit of giving within your organization with your support. It's that quality that cements our partnership and will continue to help ensure no family receives a bill from St. Jude for anything.
You maintain the spirit of giving to St. Jude through out the year with your internal donation of $1 for every chocolate wafer box sold to franchisees as well as your donation of .50 for every kids drink sold. Your desire to visually show your guests the partnership with St. Jude is simply amazing.
Special Partner Story
The Melting Pot challenged their franchisees to hit their Thanks and Giving campaign. With the achievement of reaching $900,000 the CEO, Bob Johnston, challenged Maggie Bragg/St. Jude Account Manager to having her hair styled in a Mohawk similar to Adam Tichenor's hair style. Adam attended the 2019 Melting Pot annual Incentive Trip to Memphis as top Thanks and Giving fundraiser from St. Louis Town & Country location. The challenge was offered on a video and shown at the annual Melting Pot Reunion in Charlotte, NC September 2019.
Kids Helping St. Jude Kids
As part of the Kids Meal campaign, you offer a St. Jude Activity Book for young kids to search for words, find their way through a maze, play tic tack, color images of St. Jude patient art and read the message of giving back to St. Jude. The best part of the activity book is that you are teaching kids how to be young philanthropists to St. Jude!
Thank you for your generosity and for your help in teaching the next generation about St. Jude and the importance of giving.
Your Support Helps St. Jude Patients Like Lucas
“All of the doctors in Chile agreed that St. Jude was the best place for Lucas. The work being done at St. Jude is years ahead of anything being done in Chile.”
