For the third consecutive year, Benihana partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as part of their Children Helping Children program. The program runs April 1 through May 5, which is a children’s holiday in Japan where they celebrate the happiness of their nation’s children with a day of fun and games.

Benihana brought the Japanese celebration to America where they hosted an artwork contest in which Benihana made a $1 donation to St. Jude for every entry form received. In addition to the contest, Benihana made a contribution to St. Jude for every child’s meal ordered on Thursday, May 5.

As well as making a monetary donation to St. Jude, Benihana also honored the children of St. Jude on May 11 when the Memphis location hosted a private party for more than 300 St. Jude patients and their families. This is a time for the patients and their families to relax and enjoy themselves for the evening. The families were treated to delicious appetizers before the main attraction of a Benihana-style dinner complete with dessert.

Benihana raised more than $30,000 for the kids of St. Jude through this year’s campaign.
