What is Massage on the GO?
Massage on the GO is a massage service that offers both chair and table massages to adult caregivers and family members of patients at St. Jude.
What is the cost for massages?
The cost for these massage services is $1 per minute. There is a 10-minute minimum required. Payment may be made by credit card, check, or cash at the time of the appointment. Some automobile and medical insurance, with a medical doctor referral, may be accepted. To learn more about how insurance can be used, please email Samuel Nelson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is required of me to take part in Massage on the GO?
To take part in massage services from Massage on the GO, each person must complete and turn in a liability waiver at the time of each appointment.
Massages are generally available from 10 to 60 minutes but can be customized to meet your needs. Please schedule your massage in advance to assure space is available. Plan to arrive a few minutes before your appointment time to complete the liability wavier.
Massages are offered in the Family Lounge on the third floor of the Kay Research and Care Center.
Is tipping allowed?
Tipping is allowed but not required.
What should I know when I arrive for my appointment?
It is always good to exercise massage etiquette when you arrive for your appointment. This means no cell phones, speaking in lower voice tones, and creating a relaxing environment for yourself and others. It is best to wear loose fitting clothing and to remove jewelry that might keep the massage therapist from being able to provide a full range of motion.
What if I cannot make it to my scheduled appointment?
If you cannot make it to your scheduled appointment, Massage on the GO would like a 24-hour notice. If you cannot give a 24-hour notice, please let the team know as soon as possible. If you have cancelled several times, you may be required to pay the full amount for your scheduled appointment.
