Mayela began treatment in Puerto Rico but was soon referred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, when she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
When we walked through the doors of St. Jude, we felt we could breathe again.
The attention and dedication of the staff have meant a lot to Mayela's family.
Families, like Mayela's, will never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything.
