When Pepe developed a cough that wouldn’t go away, doctors thought it was pneumonia.

After Pepe started having difficulty breathing, the family returned to the hospital.

A CT scan revealed a cancerous tumor called neuroblastoma.

Pepe's doctors recommended St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

A cancer diagnosis might be an unfamiliar concept to a lot of families, but Pepe's was already familiar with the realities.

Families, like Pepe's, will never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything.

Pepe hopes to be a police officer or basketball player when he grows up.

“When I found out that he had cancer, I didn't know if he would be able to achieve his dream,” said his mom, Tiffany.

Pepe is out of treatment now and returns to St. Jude for checkups.
