- Medicinal Chemistry – design, synthesis and development of novel chemotherapeutic agents to treat drug resistant infections and tumors.
- Structure based drug design of new agents using advanced computer aided and fragment based drug design technologies.
- Isolation, characterization and modification of bacterial derived natural products for therapeutic purposes.
- Anti-infective microbiology - study of problematic drug resistant bacterial pathogens including M. tuberculosis and MRSA.
