Short Biography
Tharwa Bilbeisi, Ph.D., is a clinical research scientist in the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine. She has worked with the Culture and Communication Transversal since the summer of 2022.
Bilbeisi holds an interdisciplinary degree in health communication, and her research interests stem from a passion for health equity. She has worked extensively with the unhoused population in Memphis, incorporating a mixed-methods approach to studying their health beliefs and sharing their stories.
As a member of the St. Jude Global Pediatric Medicine family, Bilbeisi has worked in cancer stigma research in global settings. She is excited about the Global Pediatric Medicine mission and continuing to work towards a future where every child has an equal chance at beating cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Enthusiastic about the future, Bilbeisi is motivated and eager to begin her dream job with the dream team.
