Nicole Williams, MPH, joined the St. Jude HPV Cancer Prevention Program as a program coordinator in 2025 with a decade of experience leading high-impact public health initiatives across the globe and in her home state of Missouri where she led statewide programming to improve vaccination rates and health outcomes, build vaccine confidence, and reduce vaccine hesitancy across Missouri communities.
Nicole’s expertise is grounded in connecting evidence, partnerships, and practice to strengthen public health efforts. She brings a broad, collaborative, and culturally-responsive perspective shaped by experience across both global and local contexts, with a consistent focus on community-informed solutions that advance equitable health outcomes.
In her current role, she leads the program’s national initiative to prevent HPV cancers with rural communities and coordinates partner engagement and support for statewide HPV cancer prevention efforts across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Previously, Nicole held senior leadership roles in a statewide public health coalition, where she directed large-scale immunization programs, managed multimillion-dollar funding portfolios, and led cross-sector partnerships to improve health outcomes. Her work has included securing competitive funding, developing and implementing statewide immunization campaigns, and advancing applied immunization research in collaboration with renowned academic partners.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned her Master of Public Health degree in Global Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
