Research Interests

I am a student intern with previous experience in qualitative research and data management with the Division of Nursing Research. As a current applicant for a Masters in Genetic Counseling Program, I assist and shadow the St. Jude genetic counselors, catalogue genetic testing results in an internal database, and collaborate with researchers on various projects within the Division of Cancer Predisposition (including the validation of the MIPOGG diagnostic tool, design of educational genetics modules for bedside and advanced practice nurses, and codification of qualitative data regarding patient and family experiences of genetic counseling). Based on my experience at St. Jude, I hope to become a genetic counselor specializing in pediatric oncology and childhood disease.
