Miriam González, MD

Dr. Miriam González is a pediatrician and native of El Salvador. She has a diverse academic record to include a master’s degree in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Memphis. At St. Jude, Dr. González has been actively involved in improving the survival of children with cancer by designing and implementing infection control and educational quality improvement initiatives at international sites. She is responsible for and participates in the planning, management and outcome evaluation of assigned infection control and infectious diseases projects at international sites, specifically at St. Jude partner institutions that work with the Infectious Disease – St. Jude Global. Her research interests include teaching and learning infection control competencies with new and emerging technologies, issues in distance education, and integrating technologies and health behavior theories into healthcare educational environments in developing countries.
