Brooke Happ, MPH is the Project Coordinator for the Global Scholars Program in the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine.
In this role, Brooke works with the team on the administration and vision of the Global Scholars Program. She is responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, and oversight of processes and initiatives within the program, with a focus on the Scholars Project phase, which offers students the opportunity to apply the knowledge, skills, and tools they learn to enhance equity, access, and quality of care for children locally, regionally, and globally.
A native of Georgia, Brooke obtained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Georgia and began her career with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She worked as an epidemiologist at the Kentucky Department for Public Health and completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Kentucky. Brooke has a range of experience in program coordination, public health epidemiology, and infectious disease surveillance.
Prior to her work with the Global Scholars Program, Brooke supported the Global Infectious Diseases Program by coordinating education and capacity-building initiatives to improve infection care and prevention in children with cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.
