Student success is assessed using a variety of performance indicators, including Student Retention Rate, Graduation Rate and Job Placement Rate. The Graduate School uses this information in ongoing planning and assessment activities that guide improvement efforts within the school.

Student Achievement Data

Private and Confidential

N/As for all programs indicate data that is not available due to the appropriate timeframe not elapsing or the cohorts not including students who self-reported the student population characteristic. The Graduate School reports disaggregated data as N/A if the sample size is 5 or fewer students.

*The 7-year graduation rate for the first cohort of the PhD in Biomedical Sciences program cannot officially be calculated until the end of academic year 2023-2024, but the 7-year graduation rate will also be 91.6% due to all the students graduating within 6 years and one withdrawal.

Although there is no formal placement office or programming in the Graduate School, placement assistance for these positions is generally available through faculty advisors and other mentors in the program. Their support in placing graduates into premier fellowships can be invaluable. An extensive network of former St. Jude postdoctoral fellows is another resource to find placements in academia and industry.  Students who successfully complete the Master’s program will expect to be considered for advancement in their clinical and healthcare related careers.  Faculty and clinical mentors within the Graduate School can also provide placement assistance for these students.
