Caroline Bailey is a researcher with interests in clinical and translational research, implementation science, cancer survivorship, and healthcare systems improvement. Her research interests are driven by both professional experience and personal perspective as the sibling of a pediatric leukemia survivor and bone marrow transplant recipient, fostering a commitment to improving outcomes for patients and families affected by serious illness.
As a researcher in the Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics, Bailey supports drug discovery and development efforts through compound management, data quality oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. Her work focuses on optimizing research operations, managing complex datasets, and ensuring the accurate delivery of research resources to investigators across the institution.
Bailey further developed her research skills through participation in the St. Jude Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program, where she conducted a process improvement project evaluating resource allocation reporting practices. This work combined data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and systems-based problem solving to improve operational efficiency and research support activities.
Through the Clinical Investigations program, Bailey seeks advanced training in clinical research design, implementation, and evaluation. Her long-term goal is to contribute to research that improves cancer survivorship outcomes, advances evidence-based implementation strategies, and strengthens healthcare delivery systems across diverse clinical and global settings.
