Angela Edwards, BHS, RT(R)(MR)

Angela Edwards credits a college injury with focusing her interest on medicine and medical research. The outstanding care she received after the injury spurred her desire to pass it on.

Edwards earned a Bachelor of Health Science from Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis (2005). She received certification for radiography (R) (2005) and magnetic resonance (MR) (2007) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

She currently works as an advanced image processing specialist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Department of Diagnostic Imaging. In that role she organizes and analyzes MRI data for clinical interpretation and research. Her current interests are brain tumor imaging and analysis, particularly diffuse midline gliomas.

“Working with radiologists and scientists on various projects pushed me to grow my skills in clinical investigation and data analysis. I will apply the knowledge gained from the master’s program in Clinical Investigations to advance treatment of pediatric brain tumors.”
