The Kids’ Fun Run is for kids ages 12 and under who are accompanied by an adult. All participants must pre-register and follow the companion requirement of two children per one adult companion. Children under the age of 5 are required to be in a wagon or stroller.
Each registered child will receive a bib and participant shirt to be picked up at the Health & Fitness Expo. Companion adults will receive a matching bib only. Only the adult who registered the child or the designated chaperone may pick up a Kids’ Fun Run packet. Children will also receive a medal upon crossing the finish line. The event is untimed, so no awards will be given.
The start corrals will open at 12:30 p.m. on B.B. King Boulevard and should be entered from the rear. For safety purposes, older children should start at the front of the corral, closest to the start line. Younger kids should fill in behind and those in wagons or strollers should fill in last. If a family has children of multiple ages, they should start according to the younger child.
Children crossing the finish line without their adult companion will be held in a reunification (waiting) area inside the finish chute. The child will be released only to the adult with the matching bib.
After crossing the finish line, Kids’ Fun Run participants are invited to the Post Run Party at The Peabody Hotel Tennessee Exhibit Hall. Follow the volunteers and signage to get to the fun! The party begins approximately 15 minutes after the race starts and ends at 3:30 p.m.
