Dhwani Babla is a global health and international development professional with expertise in systems strengthening, health financing, and strategic partnerships. She has worked across a range of public health settings in Oman, India, South Africa, Uganda, and North America, bringing a global perspective to her work. Her experience spans research, policy, and project management, with a focus on improving access to care and promoting equitable, evidence-based solutions.
At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Dhwani supports multiple Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) programs, including the ARIA Guide program, the Global Platform, and other Global Agencies initiatives. Her work centers on cross-regional coordination, implementation planning, and stakeholder engagement to drive system-level change and strengthen national health programs.
Prior to joining St. Jude, Dhwani contributed to the World Health Organization’s Cancer Initiative, led policy and advocacy efforts with Women in Global Health Canada, and supported research and program evaluation in areas such as non-communicable diseases and primary care systems. Her technical strengths encompass a wide range of global health skills, including program design, implementation, evidence synthesis, sustainability thinking, operational strategy, and creative problem-solving. Additionally, Dhwani brings strong communication and writing skills to her work, having contributed to editorials, peer-reviewed publications, and global health conference abstracts. Her ability to think strategically and creatively enhances her contributions to complex global health challenges.
Dhwani holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Population and Quantitative Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University. Her work has been featured in editorials, peer-reviewed publications, and global health conference abstracts.
Dhwani’s goal is to enhance programmatic collaboration, foster innovation, and develop creative solutions to complex health challenges through inclusive, adaptive, and strategic global partnerships.
