Short Biography
Lane Faughnan joined St. Jude Global in 2016 with many years of clinical research experience at St. Jude in the Department of Hematology, the Division of Anesthesiology and the Cancer Center. Her current role is to develop, implement and evaluate data management processes and training at international sites. A Certified Clinical Research Professional, Lane has experience in all phases of the clinical research process from protocol development to manuscript publication; she has been involved in investigator-initiated research as well as with cooperative group studies, including the Children’s Oncology Group research studies. One favorite past project was the BABY HUG study, a phase III multi-center trial which evaluated hydroxyurea as a treatment for infants with sickle cell disease.
Lane is a native of Memphis who obtained a BA in Spanish from Rhodes College, followed by a BSN from the University of Memphis. Lane came to St. Jude as a new nurse in 1999, and worked in the inpatient and outpatient units before transitioning to clinical research in 2004.
