Samantha Wells is a Program Coordinator for the HPV Cancer Prevention Program at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a community outreach program which aims to reduce human papillomavirus (HPV) cancer deaths locally and nationally by increasing HPV vaccination rates.
Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, Samantha serves as the Co-lead of the HPV Vaccination Roundtable of the Southeast. She also provides guidance and support for HPV cancer prevention efforts in Georgia, Florida, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Wells aims to strengthen partnerships with local, regional, and national organizations and help connect partners with resources and opportunities made available through the Southeast Roundtable.
Prior to joining the St. Jude team in January 2025, Wells worked as a Section Chief Supervisor with the Arkansas Department of Health Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program, where she led the statewide maternal health program initiative focused on smoking cessation for pregnant smokers and participated in community outreach and grants management. She has also previously served as Program Manager for the Mississippi Health Advocacy Program.
Samantha earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health degrees in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2015 and 2017.
